Chief engineer to oversee expanding partnerships, support increasing customer diversity, and lead growing R&D team
Wayne, PA—June 8, 2009—Phoenix Integration, a leading provider of software for engineering automation, integration, and design optimization, today announced that Dipankar Ghosh, Ph.D. has joined the company as Director of Product Management.
Dipankar brings 15 years of experience in commercial and military vehicle development, engineering research and development, and engineering services across automotive, aerospace and defense industries and is therefore well-equipped to support Phoenix’s expansion into new markets including ship design, alternative energy, building design, and heavy industry.
Dipankar will further leverage his extensive expertise in structural analysis, design optimization, finite element analysis, modeling and simulation, and systems engineering to lead Phoenix’s Research and Development team—which has grown by 25% this year alone through the recruitment of engineering resources from the academic community. In this capacity, Dipankar will oversee and support growth and development of Phoenix Integration’s software solutions, including next generation platforms of its flagship products PHX ModelCenter® and PHX CenterLink®. Additionally, Dipankar will manage emerging and expanding OEM partnerships with leading PDM application providers.

Prior to joining Phoenix, Dipankar was the Chief Engineer of international trucking and engine manufacturer, Navistar, Incorporated (NYSE:NAV). Dipankar holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Jadavpur University, a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Colorado, and a doctorate in Structural Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Twenty-nine of his papers have been published in national and international journals and conference. Dipankar and his family reside in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
