Alan Arico Joins Phoenix Integration as Director of Sales & Marketing
Former ESI director to oversee new market expansion and lead technical sales of newly revamped ModelCenter offering
Blacksburg, VA—February 17, 2015— Phoenix Integration, developer of ModelCenter®, the leading solution framework for process automation, design space exploration, and work group content management, announces the appointment of Alan Arico as Director of Global Sales & Marketing.
Mr. Arico brings 12 years of experience in the engineering simulation software industry across a variety of roles, from engineering, project and program management to account management and technical sales. Alan started his career in 2002 at Honeywell Aerospace as a Project Engineer and Program Manager, utilizing CAE and DOE/Optimization tools for manufacturing defect prediction and cycle time reduction. More recently, he has served in a number of technical sales roles at ESI North America managing CAE managing CAE business development for the Energy sector, virtual manufacturing and technical sales teams. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Arico was Technical Sales Director for acoustics and Computational fluid dynamics at ESI North America.
Mr. Arico’s experience across various industries, his expertise in simulation-based design tools, and his exceptional track record of success in effectively managing and growing high profile accounts, makes him especially well-suited to support Phoenix’s growth within its existing aerospace and defense markets, as well as guiding its expansion with penetration into the automotive sector.

Mr. Arico holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Notre Dame and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. As a consistent top performer, he has received seven achievement awards from ESI, JDSU Test and Measurement Solutions, and Honeywell, as well as three patent awards. Mr. Arico resides in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
