Automating CAD and CAE Tools for Use in Trade Studies

Overview:
Phoenix Integration’s flagship product, PHX ModelCenter®, offers a simulation-building environment in which it is easy to add third-party CAD, meshing, FEA, and CFD analysis models as "plug-ins". Once in ModelCenter, these components can be linked to one another to form an automated design system. A critical issue in trade studies analysis is the desire to accelerate the time-consuming detailed design step.

Integrating CAD tools with ModelCenter decreases product development cycle times. Changes to the design are made and evaluated entirely within ModelCenter. An example design problem modeled in various CAD/CAE tools will be integrated into ModelCenter so detailed design trade-studies can be conducted automatically.
