Phoenix Integration Webcasts
DESIGN FOR SIX SIGMA (DFSS) APPLIED TO MODELING AND SIMULATION
Tools for implementing Design For Six Sigma approaches
- Original Broadcast Date: December 14, 2005
- Presenter: Scott Woyak, Ph.D., Director, Software Solutions, Phoenix Integration®
- Cost: FREE!
Phoenix Integration presented an informational webcast on how to apply Six Sigma concepts for Modeling and Simulation. Six Sigma is traditionally viewed as an approach for improving manufacturing processes. The same concepts, however, can be applied during the design process to increase reliability and robustness, and reduce risk and variability of systems.
Presentation topics included:
- What is Design for Six Sigma?
- How does DFSS apply to risk, reliability, and robustness?
- How do you apply DFSS in a Modeling and Simulation environment?
- Tools for performing Design of Experiments (DOEs), Probabilistics, and Optimization.
- Rolling out a standard DFSS process across programs.
This presentation also included a brief demo highlighting tools for application of DFSS. Phoenix discussed the ModelCenter® and CenterLink® products.
