CAD Fusion: Integrating CAD into Conceptual Design
| Format: | On-Demand Webcast (Pdf Presentation) |
| Presenters: | Scott Woyak, President and CEO, Phoenix Integration |
Overview:
Engineering design is typically divided into Conceptual and Preliminary design teams. Hand off from one team to the other contributes to process inefficiencies, errors and reworks. If Conceptual designers could link with CAD applications, they could visualize errors earlier and provide a more seamless hand off to Preliminary designers.
PHX CAD Fusion joins Conceptual and Preliminary design teams in a common, interactive environment. At the end of Conceptual Design, Preliminary designers can receive a CAD model that already meets many of the design criteria, leading to fewer errors in a shorter, more efficient design process.
The Webcast will include:
- Using CAD for Conceptual Design trade studies without scripting or programming
- Direct integration of CAD tools with the PHX ModelCenter® trade study environment
- Automatically importing CAD parameters
- Using CAD tools to calculate values for analysis
- Benefits of joining Conceptual and Preliminary design teams in a common, interactive environment
