Phoenix Integration presented an informational webcast on how and why to incorporate Probabilistic Computing into your modeling process. Understanding variability is critical to modeling systems in the real world and is useful for:

  • Quantifying Risk.
  • Predicting Failure Rates.
  • Building Robust Designs.
  • Estimating Warranty Claims.

Guest speakers for this presentation were world renowned experts from the Probabilistic Computing Lab at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). SwRI is the author of the NESSUS software program which has a 15 year heritage of solving probabilistic problems.

Presentation topics included:

  • What is Probabilistic Computing?
  • Why Probabilistics Computing is important.
  • Practical tools you can apply today.

The presentation featured a brief demo highlighting new Probabilistic capabilities available in ModelCenter 6.1, including Monte Carlo analysis and Histogram and Scatter Matrix Plots. Techniques for interfacing NESSUS with ModelCenter were also be discussed.
