Phoenix Integration Releases a Unified Toolset, Phoenix Suite 2006

A Software Suite for Performing Trade Studies and Managing the Simulation Process

Blacksburg, VA—June 2, 2006—Phoenix Integration, the aerospace and defense industry leader in process integration and design optimization software, announced the release of Phoenix Suite 2006. The software suite provides a unified toolset to manage simulation tools, data, design processes, and the decisions made from them. Phoenix Suite 2006 is composed of the following product releases:

  • CenterLink 2.0
  • ModelCenter 7.0
  • Analysis Server 5.0
  • Design Optimization Package 2.1

"Engineers and analysts are continually faced with multiple “what if” questions,” says Scott Woyak, Vice President of Phoenix Integration and Director of Software Solutions. “The Phoenix Suite 2006 facilitates the simulation process so that more of these questions can be answered leading to better products, more proposal wins, and shortened design cycles."

ModelCenter is the entry point to the Phoenix Suite. At the desktop level ModelCenter automates and integrates multiple design tools into a single Model. Once a Model is created, your design exploration capabilities are vast:

  • Trade Study Tools: Ask and answer “what if” questions
  • Sensitivity Analysis: Identify trends and cause-effect relationships in your systems.
  • Parameter Scans: Construct automated runs to cover your entire design space.
  • Optimization: Use guided search tools to help identify preferred solutions.
  • Probabilistics: Understand the reliability, robustness, and risk associated with your choices.
  • Visualization: Graphically view and interpret results.
  • Report Generation: Document results for presentations and future access.

The Phoenix Suite 2006 also scales to workgroup and enterprise levels. To support the needs of larger workgroups, CenterLink teams with ModelCenter to accelerate trade studies via clusters of computers, to coordinate the efforts of multiple people, and to provide traceability to the process.

  • Analysis Library: Version control of wrappers in a central archive.
  • Trade Study Archive: Store trade study results in a centrally repository for future access.
  • Analysis Execution Engine: Dynamically execute wrappers on available hosts.
  • Trade Study Load Balancing: Break trade studies into multiple jobs that can be run in parallel.
  • Customizable Web Interfaces: Customize the html graphical user interface to meet the specific needs of your organization.
  • Web Methods: Access capabilities though SOAP based protocols to build your own applications.
