Phoenix Integration Announces CAD/CAE Support Program
Integrating company's ModelCenter software with CAD/CAE products will reduce design costs and expenses associated with end-product maintenance, warranty, and recall
Wayne, PA—January 31, 2007—Phoenix Integration, the aerospace and defense industry leader in process integration and design optimization software, will partner with leading CAD and CAE providers to integrate their products with its ModelCenter software and extend design optimization benefits across entire product lifecycles. Initial uptake in the company's CAD/CAE Support Program includes partners and products such as Dassault Systèmes (CATIA, ABAQUS), PTC (Pro/ENGINEER), UGS (NX), ANSYS (ANSYS Solver, Workbench, FLUENT), and CD-adapco (STAR-CD).
"Adding ModelCenter CAD and CAE support enables Phoenix Integration to 'move right' into the preliminary and detailed design stages of product lifecycles," said Scott Woyak, president and CEO. "This will make it easier for engineering organizations to evaluate more designs in less time and reduce costs of creating and testing physical prototypes. Also, by applying optimization and probabilistic design methods, users can reduce end-product maintenance and warranty expenses and avoid recalls."
ModelCenter's core features will be enhanced to better support CAD/CAE needs such as long running analyses, improved geometry and meshing support, and large data files. Phoenix Integration will create ModelCenter plug-ins for each partner's CAD/CAE tools, which will allow application of visualization, simulation, and virtual models from conceptual and preliminary design to product support phases. The integration will allow organizations to further standardize on Phoenix products as their process integration and design optimization framework, and share knowledge and tools across product lifecycles. Release of the new capabilities will begin this year.
