Static Bending Analysis of Wing with CAD and FEA

Overview:
Phoenix Integration’s flagship product—PHX ModelCenter®—offers a simulation-building environment which allows users to integrate third-party CAD, meshing and FEA analysis models using many “wrapping” techniques including our QuickWrap and CAD Fusion Plug-Ins. Once in PHX ModelCenter, these Components can be linked to one another to form an automated design process. Automated processes allow analysis of more design configurations quicker and ultimately lead to better overall designs.
In this presentation, a wing modeled in CAD, mesh and FEA tools will be integrated into PHX ModelCenter and using the aerodynamic lift forces we will measure the stress upon the wing induced by those forces. PHX ModelCenter provides the visual environment where these detailed design trade-studies can be conducted automatically.
