Overview:
The development of Hull Optimization for ship design requires the use of geometric and empirical data. Leading global consulting, systems integration and outsourcing company, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has created a component for PHX ModelCenter® which allows it to integrate with Rhinoceros® NURBS and RhinoMarine V4 tools for ship design.
PHX ModelCenter allows you to easily create and automate custom programs with a simple interface. Integration of Rhino tools with ModelCenter yields the ability to scale a hull surface, interrogate the surface for Hydrostatic information and then feed that information into an Excel empirical based design model.
