A FEA model created to analyze the cab structure of a Class 8 tractor reveals that the current cab system is not structurally adequate, nor does it meet design requirements. During this presentation, the CAE Solver Plug-In Suite will be used to wrap the Nastran® analysis for execution within PHX ModelCenter 9.0 in order to find meet structural and design requirements, reduce mass for cost savings and find the best design solution while satisfying all specified constraints.
