The developments of complex mechatronic or cyber physical systems in the civil or military context require multi-disciplinary collaboration. The automated, executable specification enables an analysis of the system under development, and considers the matching of requirement and performance. Additionally, a trade-off analysis between cost and performance estimation can be executed, to influence the design process at an early stage. Therefore, a model centric analysis and system design tool is required, which links and triggers the calculation models in an automated manner to exchange information. The collaboration of discipline models with the analysis and system design tool is done by Phoenix Integration ModelCenter and IBM Rational Rhapsody. The required processing steps of the executable specification will be elaborated on a simplified example of an airborne radar sensor.
