Abstract

As commercial and government organizations begin their digital transformations and adopt modern digital engineering solutions, a common challenge is how to best provide for disconnected teams so they can contribute to the engineering process across the entire lifecycle of the product or program.  Successful transition across critical phases, such as moving from early conceptual designs to system test and evaluation, often requires fragmented teams to adopt baseline physics and simulation tools that can quickly ingest system models while evolving and improving fidelity as the product or program matures.

In this presentation, we will take a look at combining AGI’s best-in-class modeling and simulation tools with Ansys’ advanced multi-physics solvers. While also leveraging ModelCenter’s integration and orchestration capabilities to provide an executable architecture and explore the complex system of systems designs.  In particular, we will look at modeling advanced RF system models with Ansys Electronics tools to capture representative terrestrial communications system models utilized by STK. This process will provide dynamic analysis across an urban environment and analyze the modeled network’s ability to provide critical analysis connectivity during emergency response situations.

In addition, system behaviors described in SysML State Machine diagrams will be executed by AGI’s Moxie in concert with other analysis tools in the overarching simulation.  All together, incorporating behavioral execution into the existing ModelCenter integration and orchestration architecture empowers the organizations adopting and practicing Model-Based Systems Engineering to increase the speed and fidelity of their simulation needs.
