Abstract

 

Aerospace and automotive industries are facing a continuous increase of system complexity and constraints. In the meantime, system engineers are asked to reduce costs, to maximize the system performance and to improve the safety of the product at the same time, which sounds like an impossible dilemma.

The recent development of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) facilitates the transfer of models between the different actors involved. ModelCenter MBSE enables MBSE by giving engineers the ability to connect any engineering analysis or software application to the systems model.

This allows engineers to validate requirements, simulate system behavior, and carry out Multi-Disciplinary Analysis & Optimization (MDAO) to optimize the system design at any time during the design process. This shortens development time, reduces errors, and results in better, less costly products.
