DME Webinar | Mission Engineering and Analysis at SAIC – Empowered by Modeling and Simulation | SAIC
SAIC® is a premier Fortune 500® technology integrator driving our nation’s technology transformation, offering secure high-end solutions in engineering, digital, artificial intelligence, and mission solutions. Many of our solutions feature Digital Engineering (DE), applied for customers across defense, space, civilian, and intelligence markets.
In this talk, we discuss how SAIC applies Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) tools for such customers, employing a variety of commercial, government, and open source tools. We apply MS&A to enhance realism in Model Based Systems Engineering, and to support decision making related to difficult-to-repeat or expensive test environments. Here, we describe some approaches for applying MS&A for Mission Engineering within DE.
Some simulations, particularly those requiring coding, enable users to simulate detailed object interactions and behaviors. This presentation describes how SAIC has developed, in cooperation with partner companies, methods to extend such capabilities to other simulation software. MS&A tools also challenge end users with varying levels of accessibility. Some have sophisticated user interfaces but require considerable training, while others require coding skills.
This presentation describes SAIC’s approaches for simplifying user interfaces, for making simulation features available, for empowering users with expertise through the interface, and for making MS&A processes repeatable.
We consider ModelCenter and other software from Ansys to be key parts of our MS&A, and DE, toolboxes. This presentation will include some demonstrations of how we apply Phoenix tools using their tool integration, workflow, analysis, and API capabilities.
